How to Give

You can make online donations through either of the links below:

You can take part in one of our forthcoming fundraising events.
Details available here.

If you would like to support any of AVI's partners' work in India, including post-tsunami programmes and the Janadesh campaign please use the forms below. You can choose which partner to support, or leave it to AVI to decide where the need is greatest.

If you are able to make a regular donation by standing order, please click here. Regular donations provide our partners with a very valuable source of long term income for their work and enable AVI to plan with confidence.

If you would like to make a single donation, cheque and credit card donations can be made here.

Donations may also be made online.

You can also support AVI by becoming a member (£10 or £5 unwaged), by using the form here.

If you can give some of your time to AVI, details are here.

Your donations help our partners work with marginalised communities in very practical ways. Below is a list of programmes that need support.

  • £15 a year will enable a girl in Jharkhand to attend secondary school for a year and transform her life chances (NBJK)
  • £25 a month will pay for a village level worker to provide support to 300 women members of self help groups in Tamil Nadu (CRUSADE) or fishing communities in Orissa (Ekta Parishad)
  • £25 buys one milk churn so that a women's dairy group can market their milk outside their village (ASSEFA)
  • £50 will provide a loan for a woman to start a small business, such as selling vegetables (ASSEFA) or (CRUSADE)
  • £100 will provide a loan for a woman to buy a cow and begin to transform her family's economy (ASSEFA)
  • £ 15 will pay for training in organisational development issues for 10 people from grassroots NGOs in Bihar and Jharkhand (NBJK)

As a supporter, you will receive our newsletter, Village Matters, two or three times a year and occasional updates on our partners' progress. You will also be invited to attend our AGM where you will be able to meet others with a deep interest in India and rural development and we usually have a speaker from one of our partners.

We can guarantee that will not sell our mailing list to other organisations, so you will not hear from others as a result of your support for AVI.
