Action Village India's 'Walk for Women' aims to change the lives of Indian women in rural communities by supporting projects that promote health, income generation, local democracy and education.

The Venue:
Virginia Water is a man-made lake surrounded by beautiful woodland and cultivated plantations, which have been maintained since 18th century - a perfect venue for a walk on a warm summer day. -www.theroyallandscape.co.uk/landscape/virginiawater/

The Event:
The walk will start at 10:30am, but please feel free to come along anytime up to 2:00pm. Most people walk around the lake in small groups until 3:30pm. One lap of the lake is approximately 5 miles, but you may make your walk as long as you wish. Food and refreshments will be provided free all day and first-aid will be available too. All you need to do is turn up in comfortable clothing and footwear to suit the weather.

How to Get There:
By car: Virginia Water is situated on the A30, close to Junction 13 on the M25.
The postcode is GU25 4QF. The main car-park on the A30 is next to the Wheatsheaf pub on your right. Please note there is a fee to pay at the end of your stay(£10 max.), but you may be able to park in the lay-by on the other side of the road for free, if you arrive early enough. 

By train: The nearest station Virginia Water, 1.5 miles up Christchurch Road.
Lift from the station can be arranged if you email me at least a day in advance.

AVI stand on your right by the lake, will be on your right by the lake, as you enter the main gate(A30).
